Post Procedural Instructions
1. For all eyebrow procedures: on the same day as your appointment: wipe your eyebrows with a damp cotton ball every hour to clean the lymph coming out of your skin.
2. For the next 7 days: wash your face with mild soap and water then apply a thin layer of vitamin A & D ointment at least 2 times per day, using a clean Q-tip each time, NOT your fingertips.
3. You may shower 24 hours after the procedure. Apply ointment on the procedure area before and after the shower.
4. Keep regular home facial care products away from procedure area for the next 2 weeks.
5. DO NOT go into the sun for extended periods, go swimming, or any tanning facility for the next 2 weeks. If you must go into the sun use an approved sunscreen to protect your procedural area.
6. Avoid exercise that cause sweating for 2-3 days.
7. Take Advil or Tylenol as necessary for any discomfort. You may also use ice packs in the procedural area 10-15 minutes per hour in the first 24 hours.
8. It is natural that some flaking will occur. DO NOT RUB, SCRATCH, OR PICK at the treated areas. Let any scabbing, flaking, or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring or infection.
9. If you are having the lip procedure done and have had cold sores/blisters before you should continue to use Lysine (twice a day for the next 7 days) or Zovirax according to your doctor’s directions.
10. RETIN-A and facial peels may cause the permanent cosmetics to fade, so avoid applying these over your procedural areas at all time.
11. For first time treatment only:plan on coming back for your follow-up within 60 days. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact Holly Kesselring.
